World's Smallest EV

Whoever said that size didn't matter was lying because size does matter, but not in the way you may imagine. Hyundai has recently unveiled the world's tiniest electric vehicle. The Hyundai tiny EV is a one-of-a-kind electric vehicle idea that incorporates Hyundai's Emotion Adaptive Vehicle Control (EAVC) technology. Hyundai, like other traditional automakers, has been aggressively pushing EV manufacturing as it seeks to establish its claim in the future of transportation.

The external design of this mini EV is inspired by the Hyundai 45 EV Concept, which can be seen in the photographs below. Hyundai's 45, which debuted at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, was a design revolution and game-changer for the company, and the tiny EV certainly builds on that.

Hyundai's designers combined the 45's unique 'kinetic cube light' design with its angular yet smooth contour to produce this yet-to-be-named small EV.

This 'little engine that could' has two onboard DC motors that work together to propel the micro EV to a peak speed of 7 km/h. Only daredevils should apply at such speeds.

Hyundai went so far as to place a single seat in the middle of the tiny EV to pay respect to F1 race cars in order to capitalize on the small EV's racing pedigree. Hyundai even went so far as to release the specifications for this little EV, which are extremely outstanding and a first for automobiles in the category of 'child cars.'

Interestingly, the body of this little EV is built of wood rather than the typical cheap plastic found in similar-sized Power Wheels and Radio Flyer cars such as the mini Tesla Model S for kids.

The official EPA battery range has yet to be revealed, but I believe it will be sufficient to get me around my culdesac and back. Hyundai hasn't announced whether or not its new Power Wheels-like EV will go into production, or whether it intends to provide them as a reward for consumers who make buy referrals as Tesla does with its own Power Wheels little Tesla. Whatever the case, I'd like one.

More information on how this one-of-a-kind EV will provide a unique mobility experience for young clients will be released soon. You can also witness the construction process in the video below.

This isn't the first time a vehicle manufacturer has provided a small automobile for children. McLaren, for example, has done it several times at exorbitant fees. My hope is that Hyundai will stick to its inexpensive approach and keep the price of this tiny EV between $200 and $400.

Yes, I realize this small EV is designed for children, but I'm a kid at heart, which is why I built the Cyberbackack which appeals to both kids and adults. What I wouldn't give to experience the pure bliss of driving my own electric car at the age of four.
