The Price of Cybertruck
So you want to buy a Tesla Cybertruck…well, I have good news for you and bad news for you. The bit of bad news is that the Tesla Cybertruck is still delayed, but the good news is that as long as you are located in North America you can still preorder a Tesla Cybertruck!
But how much does the Tesla Cybertruck cost?
Elon Musk famously referred to the Cybertruck as a "hell of a product" and that it is. The Tesla electric pickup truck is said to offer three different primary configurations which come with differences in their pricing. The Single Motor Tesla Cybertruck is currently priced at $39,900. The Dual Motor Tesla Cybertruck will be offered for $49,900, and the Tri-Motor Tesla Cybertruck will be offered for $69,900.
Tesla claims that the Cybertruck’s top speeds and 0 to 60 will differ between the different options and the single motor option will only have rear-wheel drive, while the other two options will have all-wheel drive.
The Reservations
First and foremost, you cannot currently purchase your Tesla electric truck
outright at this moment. When you go to Tesla’s website to place an order, you will be asked to place a fully refundable deposit of just $100. As of this moment, the Tesla Cybertruck will cost you only $100 for now to reserve it.
However, eventually, Tesla will reach out and you will have to determine which configuration of the Cybertruck you want. At that stage, we presume that you will need to front some more money for your new Cybertruck.
Cybertruck production is slated for 2023 which Musk confirmed in a recent interview. Volume production is expected to ramp up shortly thereafter to meet the tremendous amount of reservations so far close to 3 million.
A Likely Price Increase
Knowing Tesla, there will also likely be technological improvements that were not factored into the original vehicle spec when it was initially priced. Elon Musk actually said something to this effect during Tesla's recent Annual Shareholder's Meeting.
Furthermore, the originally announced specs and pricing is going to change as there are bound to be other add-ons and customizations that customers will be able to choose from at a later date. This is true for all current Tesla electric vehicle offerings which all come with additional price tags for customization.
Available Today
For those Tesla fans that are tired of waiting for their Cybertruck, other options exist on the market that are readily available to be purchased, such as Cyberbackpack or Cyberpowerbank. It doesn't have full self driving or bulletproof yet but the Cyberbackpack takes the boring old backpack design into the modern era by providing improvements that we haven't seen before from a backpack.
