Unique Advantages of the Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla CyberTruck: All YOU Need to Know!

If Tesla's Cybertruck ever arrives, it promises incredible things. Tesla, Inc. announced the Tesla Cybertruck, a battery electric light-duty truck, in 2019. Tesla's all-electric truck is seriously tough, with a sharp-edged exterior made of scratch- and dent-resistant stainless steel. Of course, we still don't know much about the Cybertruck, including when it will be available for purchase. If we talk about the release date of the Cybertruck, Tesla has already delayed the truck's production timeline several times, but on April 7, 2022, CEO Elon Musk promised that the truck will be available in 2023.

Have YOU heard about this new Tesla's truck?

Yes, I mean the TESLA CYBERTRUCK!

Here's what Elon Musk had to say;

"CyberTruck will be Tesla's best product ever." - Elon Musk

Here's what the Tesla CyberTruck looks like:

Crazy right?

Now, when one thinks of the Tesla Cybertruck, the name Elon Musk likely comes to your mind immediately.

As the owner of Tesla Inc., Elon Musk proclaimed nearly 10 years ago that he wanted to create a truck that would be sold by Tesla.

Musk also publicly declared that the design of the Cybertruck was inspired by Blade Runner and James Bond.

Even though Musk was the one who publicly announced the project and openly discussed the idea of a Cybertruck, it was not Elon Musk himself who actually designed the long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck.

So who designed the Tesla Cybertruck?

The answer is a little less complicated than one would think. First to be credited with the design of the Tesla CyberTruck would be Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen.

FRANZ VON HOLZHAUSEN

Franz von Holzhausen had previously been commended for creating modern vehicles without chaotic or fantastical designs. Prior to his work with Tesla, Franz von Holzhausen was the Director of Design for Mazda North America. Other Tesla designs by the German car designer include the Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.

Franz von Holzhausen works with a team of designers. Others who contributed to the design of the Tesla CyberTruck and are credited with its design are Ian Kettle, Sahm Jafari, David Imai, and Ivan Lampkin.

The Tesla Cybertruck is a unique and innovatively designed electric vehicle which is being produced by the futuristic automotive company Tesla. The Cybertruck, announced in 2019, is still under development and has yet to be released to the purchasers who pre-ordered their vehicle.

Tesla Cybertruck Specs

According to Tesla, it is expected to come with up to three (3) electric motors. The single-motor truck is rear-wheel drive, whereas the two- and three-motor trucks are all-wheel drive.

Tesla claims it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and top out at 110 mph. The dual-motor Cybertruck is said to reach 60 mph in 4.5 ticks and top out at 120 mph.

Those seeking maximum performance will appreciate the three-motor model, which Tesla claims will teleport from zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mph.

All Cybertrucks have an adjustable air suspension that can be raised or lowered on the fly and has a ground clearance of up to 16 inches.

Tesla CyberTruck Battery Capacity?

What battery does the Cybertruck have?

Every model will come with a 250-kW charging cable. It will, of course, have access to Tesla's extensive network of Superchargers.

Here are the details:

Tesla CyberTruck Battery capacity: 200.0 kWh
Tesla CyberTruck Charge time: 21h 30min
Tesla CyberTruck Charge speed: 35 KM/H
Tesla CyberTruck Charge speed: 22 MPH
Tesla CyberTruck Fast charge power: 250 KW AC

How many kW is the Tesla truck?

The Tesla CyberTruck will have a 200.0 KWH

Tesla CyberTruck Design

What's the Tesla CyberTruck design like?

The design of the Cybertruck, according to Musk, was inspired by Blade Runner and the Lotus Esprit driven by James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me, which doubled as a submarine.

The Cybertruck is built with unibody construction, similar to most passenger cars, rather than body-on-frame construction, as a standard vehicle frame would interfere with the under-floor battery pack.

It employs unusually thick 3 mm 30x-series cold-rolled stainless steel body panels that, unlike conventional automobile parts, cannot be stamped.

The panels can only be bent in straight lines, resulting in a very distinct faceted design that has been dubbed "low-poly" or "origami-like."

Because it distributes stress more evenly and allows for more interior volume, this material is used by SpaceX on their Starship Rocket.

Earlier designs for the Cybertruck included titanium for the outer panels, but this was later changed to stainless steel for added strength, using an alloy developed in-house by Tesla.

You will also be glad to know that the flush door handles and yoke steering wheel will remain in the production version.

Tesla CyberTruck Interior

How does the Tesla CyberTruck interior look like?

The interior of the prototype, which was unveiled on November 21, 2019, featured a 17-inch center display, seating for six people in two bench seats with a fold-down center armrest in the front middle seat, a digital rear-view camera-based mirror, a race car-style steering yoke, and a dashboard with a marble-like surface.

The middle seat in the back folds down to allow for the loading of long cargo extending into the cab from the vault (enclosed lockable bed).

The unveiled prototype vehicle's "marble look" dashboard was made of "paper, wood-based fibers, natural wood pigments, and non-petroleum based resins."

Note: We'll be doing a lot of reviews, posts and guides when the Tesla Truck is out for the public.

Tesla Cybertruck Range and Performance

How does the Tesla CyberTruck perform?

The driving range varies depending on the number of motors, but Tesla claims that a single motor has a range of 250-plus miles, dual motors have a range of 300-plus miles, and the top-tier tri-motor setup has a range of more than 500 miles on a single charge.

The Tesla Cybertruck range will mark the longest range vehicle Tesla has produced if you don't count the short-lived Long Range Model S PLAID.

The Tesla CybeTtruck will have both air suspension and hydraulic suspension options, so you can choose the one that works best for your needs.

The air suspension allows the driver to adjust his or her ride height by raising or lowering it at any time—making it great for long hauls through rough terrain or heavy loads.

The Tesla CyberTruck also offers an impressive payload capacity: up to 14,000 pounds!

CyberTruck Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Tesla's contentious self-driving Autopilot feature will be standard on all models, and the company says it will offer a Full Self-Driving option for $7000.

Other driver-assistance technologies are also expected to be available.

Visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites for more information on the Cybertruck's crash-test results.

Cybertruck Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

Tesla offers a comprehensive warranty on its current models, but it does not include any free maintenance. Other features include:

  1. Limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles.
  2. Powertrain warranty covers eight years, regardless of miles.
  3. No complimentary scheduled maintenance.

Tesla CyberTruck 30X Ultra-Hard Steel is a Strength or a Matter of Concern?

The Cybertruck's door panels withstood a sledgehammer attack by Tesla's chief designer, while its main competitor, the Ford F-150, received quite a notable dent because of its aluminum doors.

There is some debate, however, over whether or not the hammer used was specially designed to cause minimal damage to the Cybertruck frame.

A certain amount of rigidity is indeed necessary for side-impact collisions. In those cases, you want the metal on the outside of the truck to act as a barrier. However, front and small-overlap crashes are different.

For those kinds of collisions, the structures on the front of a modern vehicle are designed to crumple and absorb the energy from the impact.

According to Wired, several automotive engineers were concerned that the Cybertruck's lack of a crumple zone could be dangerous in case of accidents.

Tesla made the Cybertruck's steel panels 3x thicker than the industry standard, which could potentially make the Cybertruck a danger to other vehicles around it because of the added weight.

Automakers and safety testers would have to increase safety features to keep up with the thick steel.

What more do we know about the Tesla CyberTruck?

The Tesla CyberTruck is an autonomous truck that can drive itself from one place to another without any human interference.

It will be able to carry goods on highways, off-road terrain, and city streets.

Tesla's electric truck is the most advanced and powerful commercial truck in the world. It can go 500 miles on a single charge and it has a 0-60 mph time of five seconds.

The Tesla Truck can be used for general freight transport, construction, mining, oil drilling, or any other business that requires hauling heavy loads over long distances.

  • The Tesla truck will have a range of 500 miles on a single charge and can haul 14,000 pounds of cargo.
  • It has an electric engine, which makes it more fuel efficient as compared to diesel trucks.
  • It comes with a large touchscreen display that shows the route map, vehicle status information, and entertainment options like movies or games for passengers in the cabin.

The Tesla CyberTruck is Still UnderGoing Changes.

Yes, they'll be some changes made!

"Ah not bad. A little room for improvement" - Elon Musk on the CyberTruck unveil.

    Thus, expect more :)

The good news for those who are fans of Tesla’s continued push for innovation, the Tesla Cybertruck is still having improvements made to its design.

In fact, at a shareholder meeting that took place on August 4, 2022, Elon Musk shared that there are new specifications and new additions to the Tesla Cybertruck that have previously not been shared or discussed.

Some of these changes are battery changes while others are changes to the actual design itself of the Cybertruck, including adding different headlights, windshield wipers and a possible size change.

    Tesla Cybertruck Price

How much will the Cybertruck cost?

    CyberTruck Production

Is the Tesla Cybertruck in production?

The Tesla Cybertruck has been delayed time after time since its initial debut in 2019 and Tesla’s new factory in Texas has people wondering if that is the cause of all of the Tesla production delays.

The answer is yes and the answer is no.

Where will the Tesla CyberTruck be made?

The Tesla Cybertruck will be produced at Tesla’s brand new factory in Austin, Texas. The factory, called the Gigafactory Texas, has over 10 million square feet of factory floor and it is going to be used to manufacture the Model Y. Then, it will eventually be the new home of the Cybertruck which is estimated to begin production in mid-2023.

Currently, Tesla is still trying to begin production of the Model Y at the Gigafactory, which is putting a wrench in Tesla’s plans to begin the production of the Cybertruck. It seems that these two changes and delays are linked to one another.

The Gigafactory is not only a massive Tesla factory, it is the new Tesla HQ. The property offers engineering, manufacturing, operations, and construction as well as manufacturing.

While the Tesla Cybertruck will definitely be made at the Gigafactory Texas, the only question that remains to be answered is when the Cybertruck will start being produced for sure.

So is the Tesla Cybertruck in production?

After numerous delays, Tesla’s most recent announcement has clarified when production of the Tesla Cybertruck will begin, and the answer has Tesla fans and Cybertruck hopefuls alike disappointed.

The announcement in January 2022 was vague, with Elon Musk stating that the Cybertruck would miss its production date of late 2022.

This announcement did not come with a new date from Tesla on when the Cybertruck would begin production.

If it feels like it’s been years since the Cybertruck was announced by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, then you would be absolutely right. It’s been just about three years since we all started getting excited about the production of the Tesla Cybertruck!

We have been paying attention to the scheduled production dates, but there have been so many delays that it quickly gets confusing. So when is Tesla Cybertruck production set to begin?

After numerous delays, Tesla’s most recent announcement has clarified when production of the Tesla CyberTruck will begin, and the answer has Tesla fans and Cybertruck hopefuls alike disappointed.

The announcement in January 2022 was vague, with Elon Musk stating that the Cybertruck would miss its production date of late 2022. This announcement did not come with a new date from Tesla on when the Cybertruck would begin production.

But unfortunately, in March 2022, Elon Musk clarified this and announced that the Cybertruck would begin production in mid-2023 as long as Tesla completes its pre production activities this year. It's possible, though, that this deadline may also be missed as Tesla continues to struggle with keeping up with demand for its existing products. We hope that Tesla sticks with this new production date of mid-2023!

The Tesla Cybertruck was unveiled as a sleek, futuristic vehicle. It was supposed to be the first electric pickup truck available on the market until it wasn’t.

Repeated delays to its production schedule have allowed for the Tesla Cybertruck to get passed up by other electric pickup trucks that are now hitting the market.

All of this occurs while we still wait for more specific information to come out about the Tesla Cybertruck which has been displayed as a stainless steel gray exoskeleton.

    Tesla CyberTruck Release Date

When the Tesla Cybertruck is coming out?

The Tesla CyberTruck release year is 2023. The expected release for Tesla’s Cybertruck will be in Early 2023. Rumors of the CyberTruck cancellation have been widely disproven.

Tesla has already delayed the truck's production timeline several times, but CEO Elon Musk promised on April 7, 2022, that the truck would be available in 2023.

The following table represents the expected availability and price range for three different models of the Cybertruck.

Deliveries May Not Happen Before Mid-2023.

When can I expect delivery of my Cybertruck?

At the August 4, 2022 shareholder meeting, Elon Musk also divulged that deliveries will not be happening before mid-2023.

As production is still delayed at Gigafactory in Texas due to the production of the model Y, it is unclear whether or not production will even begin in 2023, let alone delivery.

      Tesla CyberTruck Orders

Is Tesla still taking orders for Cybertruck?

The Tesla Cybertruck has been a resounding success, with over 1.25 million reservations placed since its unveiling in 2021.

Last week alone, the company received more than 17,000 Cybertruck orders, meaning that production is on track to begin soon.

Cybertruck reservations have been popular with customers due to its unique design and affordable price point, and it is sure to be a success when it finally hits the market.

The Tesla CyberTruck has unofficially racked up 1,256,487 pre-orders so far, according to an online reservation tracker created by fans.

If these pre-orders materialize into firm orders, Tesla would pocket $79 billion in revenue. This would make Cybertruck the leader of the electric pickup truck segment.

However, some rivals have also amassed impressive reservation figures. Ford’s F-150 Lightning, is considered the biggest competitor of Tesla Cybertruck.

The F-150 has reached 2,00,000 pre-orders only two and a half months after its unveiling.

Other electric truck competitors would be the Rivian R1T and the GMC Hummer EV, both of which are currently available for purchase, unlike the Tesla Cybertruck.

What is the Tesla CyberTruck Pre-Order Count?

How many Tesla Cybertruck have been ordered?

Last week alone, the company received more than 17,000 orders for the truck, meaning that production is on track to begin soon.

The Cybertruck has been popular with customers due to its unique design and affordable price point, and it is sure to be a success when it finally hits the market.

Tesla has been in the news for its electric cars and solar roofs. But now it has come up with a new product, Cybertruck.

      Is the Tesla CyberTruck Canceled?

      Did Tesla cancel the Cybertruck?

      NO!

As it turns out, Tesla's electric Cybertruck pickup is in high demand, with over 250,000 reservations placed so far!

However, such a high number of reservations likely means that holders will have to be very patient to take delivery of their electric trucks.

Obviously, any production delays would just make things worse. Tesla recently announced that their Giga Texas plant, which was supposed to begin production of the Cybertruck, will now focus on the Model Y crossover instead.

As of now, there's no set production date for the Cybertruck, although Elon Musk did say that low-volume manufacturing would happen before the end of 2020, with mass production starting in 2022.

Next, Can the Tesla CyberTruck Tow?

What can you tow with a Cybertruck?

The Tesla Cybertruck lists its ability to tow at “More than 14,000 pounds''. This is quite an impressive number and means that the new Tesla Cybertruck will be capable of towing other cars.

The Tesla Model X weighs roughly 5,000 pounds which means that the Tesla Cybertruck will likely be able to tow three of the Tesla Model X. Even more spectacular, the Tesla Cybertruck will be able to tow other heavy-duty pickup trucks with these specs, such as the Ford F-450.

When you think of a pickup truck, you think of an All-American towing machine. You think of moving furniture or moving boxes, towing a camper, or towing supplies for renovating your house.

The Tesla Cybertruck is marketed as the world’s first electric pickup truck (although, it has since been passed up by the new offering from Rivian in 2021), so obviously towing must be one of its many capabilities, or is it?

      The answer is yes.

      14,000 Towing Capacity!

Now that we've looked at the major aspects of the Tesla CyberTruck, let's discuss some frequent questons we picked up from the internet.

      Tesla CyberTruck FAQ 2023 Update

To begin with, is the Tesla CyberTruck actually dangerous?

      How safe is a Cybertruck?

Now that we've had some time to let the initial shock of the Tesla Cybertruck's design settle, let's take a closer look at some of its features that have been raising eyebrows.

It's important to remember that Tesla's goal was probably not to create a traditional-looking truck, which may explain some of the more unusual design choices.

      Tesla CyberTruck Crash Safety.

Tesla's Cybertruck is raising some serious safety concerns among the public. With its unique and heavyweight design, many are wondering if the truck will be able to stand up to impact in the event of a crash.

The IIHS has recently been forced to increase the size of their crash-test barriers due to the increased weight of trucks, and trucks as a whole are still considered a safety concern.

The Cybertruck's on-stage reveal did nothing to ease people's fears, and now people are wondering if Tesla has considered safety with this new design.

      Is CyberTruck Street Legal?

Is the Cybertruck street legal in the US?

The steel panels not only affect the driving range or crash protection, but they also have an impact on the Cybertruck's usability.

As Autoweek and Jalopnik pointed out, the A-pillars are so wide that it would be difficult for the driver to see pedestrians.

And all of those pointy edges don't create a sense of confidence when it comes to pedestrian safety, which NBC News pointed out is a problem for European sales.

Another question is whether there are front airbags, which are required by law. The interior of the Cybertruck shown doesn't have any.

There are a few things that Tesla will need to change about the electric pickup before it goes into production. For example, there are no airbags or even side-view mirrors.

While side cameras may be acceptable in some countries, they are not in the US.

Also, the headlight strip is not up to code in the US-the LEDs are fine, but the shape is not.

The truck also has no windshield wipers. While Tesla has filed a patent for actual laser beams to clean the windshield, another rumor suggests that there might be a single-blade windshield wiper.

Is the Tesla Cybertruck on the market?

Elon Musk has stated that Tesla will release its long-awaited Cybertruck next year (2023). Due to production delays, competitors such as Ford have introduced electric pickup trucks before Tesla.

Will the Tesla Cybertruck be bulletproof?

The body of the Cybertruck, according to Tesla, is strong enough to withstand the impact of a 9 mm handgun round. The body of the Cybertruck will be made of Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel.

This body type provides both protection and endurance.

The armored glass will be included in the bulletproof Cybertruck. The glass shattered when tested with a metal ball during the initial release in November 2019. As a result, Tesla has some work to do in this area.

The Armormax® armored Cybertruck will come standard with bulletproof glass. Armormax® is a proprietary armoring process that makes the Cybertruck bulletproof against high-powered assault rifles and other weapons.

How much will a Cybertruck cost?

The Cybertruck's starting price is $39,900. The Dual Motor all-wheel drive model costs $49,900. The Tri-Motor Cybertruck with all-wheel drive costs $69,900.

      Did Tesla cancel the Cybertruck?

The electric pickup truck was supposed to be in production already, but the automaker delayed it in order to focus on increasing Model Y production. The Cybertruck is expected to enter production in 2023, according to the company. Meanwhile, Tesla is still accepting reservations for its electric pickup truck.

How fast is the Tesla Cybertruck?

Tesla claims it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and top out at 110 mph. The dual-motor Cybertruck is said to reach 60 mph in 4.5 ticks and top out at 120 mph.

How long does it take to charge a Cybertruck?

The on-board charger has a maximum power of 11 kW and charges via a Type 2 connector. This charges a fully depleted battery to full capacity in about 10 hours 45 minutes.

What colors will the Cybertruck come in?

Elon Musk has confirmed that Tesla will not offer any color or wrap options for the Cybertruck - at least not at first.

How long does a Cybertruck battery last?

The Tesla Cybertruck is capable of long-distance travel. The truck can actually travel 500 miles with an optional stacked battery pack installation. The standard battery pack, on the other hand, has a range of approximately 250 miles.

      Can a Cybertruck float?

According to Elon Musk's latest tweet, Tesla's upcoming Cybertruck will be able to float — at least for short periods of time. "Yes. It will even float for a short time "Musk responded to the vehicle's wading depth on Twitter.

      Is the Cybertruck amphibious?

Using the technology, the Cybertruck can become amphibious and directly powered by the vehicle, transforming it from an all-terrain electric truck to a sailboat.

Why does the Cybertruck look so weird?

The angular overall shape and basic lines of the body panels are what give the Cybertruck its appearance. According to Tesla, this is because the material is so hard that it cannot be stamped into curves without breaking the stamping press.

      Can Cybertruck fit in garage?

The Cybertruck was supposed to be 232 inches long and 80 inches wide. It will fit if you measure your garage and it is at least those dimensions.

Finally, What Do You think About the Tesla CyberTruck?

What do you personally think about the Tesla CyberTruck?

Will you be placing a preorder for the CyberTruck?
